Bolinas is located north of San Francisco by way of the Coast Highway 1. A short side road off the highway takes you around Bolinas Bay to the small town of 1,200. This part of the Coast Highway is very curvy and remote and covered with thousands of acres of forestland on one side and rocky cliffs that lead down to the ocean on the other side.
