About Greenbrae California
Greenbrae, considered as part of the
greater San Francisco Bay area, is a suburban, residential area, not
far from the big city action, but also located near the more rural
areas of West Marin County. In those areas enjoy the Napa Valley
vineyards and the ranches that have spectacular views of the
mountains and oceans.
Industry in the area includes movie and video production, major
computer software companies, communications equipment, printing, and
the manufacture of plastic products, ceramics, candles, and cheese.
Greenbrae is linked to San Francisco by the Golden Gate Bridge,
making it a great place to live and commute. Travel is made easy,
and the views going to and from work are spectacular!
The hardest choice here is what house to pick! All of the
communities have comparable prices tags, with most 1,500 square foot
homes selling for $400,000 and up, and apartments renting for
$1,200. There are many other, larger homes that sell for more, and
many offer fabulous views of the Bay. The Spanish/Mexican influence
is strongly felt here in Greenbrae too.
San Francisco is a city of many faces, cultures and huge diversity.
Known as a community that embraces the arts, homes are colourful and
eclectic. Don’t miss taking a tour of the homes near the Bay that
showcase the Victorian era at its greatest!
Greenbrae to San Francisco is a short drive away, come and enjoy
some of the samplings of life in the wonderful Bay Area, like
Fisherman's Wharf. This was originally a major fishing pier. Now,
with its historic waterfront, delicious seafood, spectacular sights
and unique shopping, remains one of San Francisco’s most popular
destinations, even though the fishing industry is still alive today.
Or come and check out Pier 39. From there, you can watch sail boats,
cruise ships and cargo ships pass by on San Francisco Bay and sea
lions on the deck. You can even see Alcatraz Island, part of the
Golden Gate National Recreation Area and was open to visitors
San Francisco Chinatown has over 160 years history. Now it is the
largest Chinese community on the West Coast, and the second largest
in the U. S. next to New York City's settlement, here you can get
authentic food, and enjoy the sights and sounds of China!
With all this and so much more, Greenbrae has much to offer both new
and existing residents! For beauty, history and charm, the greater
San Francisco area cannot be beaten!
