About Kentfield California 

Kentfield is unincorporated towns located in Central Marin. There is no "downtown" Kentfield or Kentfield, just the occasional office building or neighborhood shopping center. These communities are known for their tree-lined streets, and large suburban homes. Kent Woodlands, a sought-after prestigious neighborhood of ranch, Mediterranean and colonial estates is located in Kentfield. Kentfield is located 16 miles north of San Francisco, Kentfield offers a good commute to San Francisco via either Golden Gate Transit commute buses, or the Larkspur Ferry Terminal located at Larkspur Landing which provides ferry service to San Francisco's downtown financial district.
Education:
The two elementary schools, Bacich and Kent, rank in the 98th and 99th percentiles, among the highest in the state. Kentfield is home to College of Marin's southern campus; a community college offering several two-year programs and a very active adult education program.
