Point Reyes Station is a quaint village located north of San Francisco on Highway 1, near Drakes Bay and the Point Reyes National Seashore. Owing its name to the railroad that ran through it for 59 years, Point Reyes Station today is a quiet town with several charming shops and restaurants. Just a short distance from Point Reyes Station is the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, which includes Muir Woods, Fort Point National Historic Site, Alcatraz Island and the Presido of San Francisco. And just an hour’s drive away is the magnificent Golden Gate Bridge and the exciting city of San Francisco.
